SURVIVOR-X TRAIL RUNNING - Message By Race Director
Assalamualaikum and a very good day …..
Holla SURVIVOR!!!!
I`m honoured to extend a warm welcome to all
seasoned trail runners and beginners across Malaysia. As this race had been
designed especially for our citizen..Kampung Boy..We are very proud to bring
you the first series of survivor X 15.1K Trail Running.
SURVIVOR-X series which is consist of trail
running, trail dualthon and ultra running are specially design for those who
love the nature, the challenge and from runners to runners event. We`re motivated to organize this event as a
playground for trail runners community. The place where you can push your
body to the limit,a place where you can find new colleagues and a place where you can gained new
experience. Nevertheless we hope this event will stay strong as time goes by.
This year`s theme – greeno-underscores the
inclusive of mother nature. The appreciation towards our nature and we hope it
will long forever. We can`t deny the beautiful of our nature, the greens that
soothes the eye is unbelievable. The course consist of multiple challenge such
as hilly slopes,a stream and a muddy patch. Instead of challenge there are also scenic rainforest and breathtaking singletrack. The most forgettable memories for all runners.
There`re several tips for those beginners
as trail running is different from road running.Training for a mountain course
it is best to train in the mountain itself.Practice how your footing is
affected by running rocky terrain. In general, running a mountain course takes
more energy and requires closer attention to the trail for footing. You have to
prepared to be about 1 minute per km slower than you are in road and plan your
hydration, food and finish time accordingly. Try to be familiar with the course
and make sure you have a rough idea of any major turns, the colour of
ribbons/markings that you are to follow for your event.
As safety is concern, we would like to
remind all runners that please listen to your body. It`s not all about winning,
the fastest we congratulate them the survivor we salute you.You know your own
ability and the level of your endurance.
Last but not least, I`d like to congratulate
each runner in advance for participating. The passion and dedication of pushing
to the limit is an extraordinary.
Sincerely,
Saiful Bahri Bin Sadli
